Glenelg Beach

Glenelg Beach is Adelaide’s most popular beach. It has a real buzz about it and a great atmosphere. Whatever your age, there’s always something to do at Glenelg.  Take the time to enjoy a day at The Beachouse, eat fish and chips on the sand, gaze out to sea with a glass of wine at the Stamford Grand or throw a line and fish from the jetty at sunset.  You can also enjoy a meal from one of the many restaurants in Moseley Square or along Jetty Road.  There are always fun events happening all year round at Glenelg from volleyball tournaments to New Year’s Eve concerts and fireworks. 

Somerton Beach

Somerton Beach is a great beach to just relax and watch the world go by. The Somerton Surf Life Savers work hard to ensure the beach is safe and not overcrowded.  The Somerton Surf Lifesaving Club’s Café,  are open to the public. The Café is open daily for breakfast and lunch seven days a week. It has a great atmosphere, fantastic coffee and beautiful views over the waters of Gulf St Vincent. 

Take in amazing sunset at The Bistro with a cold beer or a casual glass of wine.  Friday night’s meals always offer the best quality ingredients prepared by in-house chefs.

Brighton Beach

Brighton Beach is a big sandy beach that’s patrolled by the Surf Life Savers from the Brighton Surf Lifesaving Club. Brighton Beach is known for being very  family friendly and safe.  The whole family will love this beach and its range of cafés, the Esplanade Hotel, the jetty to cast a reel off and fun family events like the Brighton Jetty Classic swim.

Seacliff Beach

Seacliff Beach is the perfect private beach to spend a warm romantic evening watching the sunset.

Safety in the Sun

Follow the 5 Sunsmart steps to protect yourself from the sun, in particular when the UV rating is high (3 or more):

  1. Slip on extra clothing
  2. Slop on 30+ sunscreen
  3. Slap on a hat
  4. Seek shade
  5. Slide on some sunglasses
